The End of Heartache, We're Coming Home!

NEW BLOG POST!!!!

3 more days until we start our journey back up to the great white, very cold, north. We will all miss the plus 20 weather we got to enjoy, the beaches, the people we met, and even the work. But while we are still here we keep on trying to get as much out of the experience as we can. On Saturday, we went out for supper at Texas Roadhouse. It was quite busy, but because of our incredible good looks, we were seated very quickly. Everything was going splendidly, the bread was delicious as were the salads; but then things went horrifically wrong. Well not actually, everyone's food was delicious, except for mine, I took a couple bites out of my Chicken Critters and got very light-headed and nauseous. I visited John, and was not sick fortunately, came back to the table and sent my food back. I didn't have to pay for my meal, but they did charge me over 4 dollars for the salad, so I decided that it was a very delicious salad. After that fiasco, we headed downtown, to the French Quarter, myself feeling better as the night progressed. Evan and Jordon had heard that there was a Jazz show somewhere in the Quarter and so we wandered around for a while, not having any idea really as to where we were going. (If you were wondering who was writing this, you now can safely deduce that it is not Evan or Jordon, which leaves only Jeremy or myself... Can you figure it out?) Finally we asked a very nice hotel desk clerk where it would be and got directions. The concert was an hour set, and was a great experience, even though it was rather crowded, it was put on in a historic building called Preservation Hall.
On Sunday morning Jeremy and I drove to Pass Christian to take up Billy Morgan's invitation to come to his church, the same one we had gone to two years ago with RJC. We met up with the MDS crew that works in PC going into the church and got to sit with them, we had met some of them prior to this. It was an amazing service and experience, and it was great to see Billy one more time before we left. He was very happy to see us, and he is very excited about coming up to Saskatchewan in the spring sometime, later spring he said so that he wouldn't be so cold.
Jordon and Evan went with the other long-termers to a brunch/concert. it was at the House of Blues, and the band played gospel music, it was enjoyed immensely by all.
Other than that, we must have played at least 6 hours of risk on Saturday and Sunday combined. Evan or I always won the games, poor Jeremy is just too good of a Mennonite, seemingly, to compete in world domination.

That's all for now folks!

Lots of love to all who read this,
Steven

(For all you slower people out there, you have now figured out who wrote this)
